URL Shortening Tip
Zeldman makes a great point about URL Shortener plugins and services. What happens when they go down? All your links are useless. He uses the Short URL Plugin for WordPress. It will be on all my blogs by tonight. (and yet another reason why I love WordPress).

P.S. Using this plugin would also help with screen readers reading your links, I would imagine.

Pogue’s Take Back the Beep Campaign
I’m glad David Pogue’s Take Back the Beep Campaign has had some success. It is pretty ridiculous what we have to go through to leave a message these days. I love that Apple negotiated with AT&T to remove the instructions (though AT&T still charges you for a minute of usage when you check even one short message). It’s another example of Apple going above and beyond for users of it’s hardware.

Post One (1)
This is post one (1). Enjoy!
I’m speaking on usability in learning at eLearning DevCon today. I’ve had this domain reserved for a couple of years, and now seemed as good a time as any to start using it.
Plenty of good content on usability from myself and some guest authors, is on the way.

What Do You Know About Usability?
I’m curious, as I build out this site, what YOU know about usability. Let me know what you know, what you’d like to know, and I’ll build the resource area accordingly.
I, for one, am focused on usability in learning and in the websites I create in my side business.
Please comment and let me know what you’d like this site to be!
